The staff of the DCAPS
Digital Media group provides
expert scanning of photographs, manuscripts, text-based materials, and
rare artifacts, using the latest hardware and software applications.
Services include bitonal, grayscale, and color scanning (with special
procedures for scanning fragile documents); digital photography (including
color balancing); document structuring of image files, and optical character
recognition (OCR). Also provided by this group is web design and development
services, including usability assessment. For more information about
